U.S. manganese alloy prices have softened but still remain a bit firmer than several other ferroalloys, which have experienced price corrections during the past month.
Spot prices for high-carbon ferromanganese range from $1,440 to $1,460 per tonne, down from $1,460 to $1,510 two weeks ago, while medium-carbon ferromanganese is unchanged at $1.02 to $1.08 per pound.
U.S. silicomanganese prices are now in a range of 65 to 68 cents per pound, down from 71 to 74 cents per pound two weeks ago.
