US physical zinc premiums steady in sluggish market

A recovery in zinc demand is plodding along in the United States as consumption slowly improves and the market remains oversupplied, according to traders.

Spot premiums for special high-grade zinc were pegged in a range of 2.75 cents to 3.25 cents per pound, unchanged since October.
