Dearborn will again play host to the annual AMM automotive conference as speakers and delegates will continue the lightweighting debate.

US auto sales rose 2.5 percent in June, and halfway through the year now stand at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 16.7 million, according to figures from

Through May, some market observers had estimated that annualized sales would reach a rate of 17.3 million.

However, sales through the first six months of 2016 still are running slightly ahead – 1.5 percent – of this point in 2015, a year which saw more cars sold than any other in U.S. history.

With the challenges that the Cafe regulations have posed to North American automakers and their connected suppliers, the industry continues to work towards developing the best solutions. So, now it is more important than ever to be where these specialists meet and crucial solutions are found.

Building on the success of the 1st AMM North American Automotive Metals Conference, Dearborn, Mich. will once again play host to the event this year.

At the conference – set for Sept. 14-15 at The Dearborn Inn, Dearborn, Mich. – speakers and delegates will continue with the lightweighting debate, highlight the latest OEM user preferences, focus on supply chain issues in more depth and unearth the developments happening across the North American and Mexican markets.

Being in the heart of the automotive industry in North America, Dearborn is the best place to bring suppliers and OEMs together to talk about the future for automotive production in North America.
