Perryman Company will more than double its current titanium melting capacity at its campus in California, Pennsylvania, thanks to the upcoming addition of two new furnaces, according to the company’s top executive.

The furnaces – one an electron beam and the other a vacuum arc remelt – represent a “ballpark” investment in the $50 million range, president and chief executive officer Frank Perryman told American Metal Market. They will be installed in late 2018 and are expected to be fully operational by mid-2019, he said.
