As of January 10, Fastmarkets advises that it cannot publish an update to its price assessment for rotor-quality titanium sponge from Japan until further notice, due to the partial shutdown of the US government.

The assessment is dependent on data published by the US Geological Survey (USGS), which has been affected by the shutdown. The titanium sponge price, which is normally published on the 10th of each month, is a based on a calculation that averages the most recent three months of import data provided by the USGS.

If you have any questions regarding this notice, please contact Michael Roh at Please add the subject heading FAO: Michael Roh, re: Titanium sponge.
