Following a 60-day consultation period, Fastmarkets AMM is set to discontinue its export yard buying prices in San Francisco along with some some ferrous scrap consumer buying prices in Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Chicago due to a lack of liquidity.

Under the proposal, these prices would continue to be assessed through Tuesday December 31 ahead of a delisting on January 1.

The original notice was published on September 3.

The following scrap grades are to be delisted: 

CLEVELAND  
Assessment: Foundry steel, 2-foot max
Quality: Steel scrap 1/8 inch and more in thickness, no more than 2-feet long or 18-in wide. Individual pieces free from attachments. May not include non-ferrous metals, cast or malleable iron, cable, vitreous enameled or metal-coated material
Location: Delivered mill, Cleveland
Unit: US dollar per gross ton

Assessment: Cupola cast
