Fastmarkets AMM is realigning its Cincinnati consumer buying prices for steel scrap No1 busheling and steel scrap No1 bundles, effective with the January 2020 settlement following a 30-day consultation period.

This one-time, permanent non-market adjustment will bring Fastmarkets AMM’s Cincinnati prices for No1 busheling and No1 bundles back in line with actual transaction prices in the region. The original notice was published on Tuesday December 3.

A pricing notice confirming the breakdown of January’s monthly trend and the extent of the realignment will be published after the adjustment has been made.

The following scrap grades will be realigned:

Assessment: No1 busheling
Quality: Clean steel scrap, not exceeding 12 inches in any dimensions, including new factory busheling (for example, sheet clippings, stampings, etc). May not include old auto body and fender stock. Free of metal coated, limed, vitreous enameled and electrical sheet containing more than 0.50% silicon.
Location: Delivered mill, Cincinnati
Unit: US dollars per gross ton
Publication: Monthly, typically before the 10th

Assessment: No1 bundles
Quality: New black steel sheet scrap, clippings or skeleton scrap, compressed or hand bundled, to charging box size, and weighing not less than 75 lbs per cubic foot. (Hand bundles are tightly secured for handling with a magnet.) May include Stanley balls or mandrel-wound bundles or skeleton reels, tightly secured. May include chemically detinned material. May not include old auto body or fender stock. Free of metal coated, limed, vitreous enameled and electrical sheet containing more than 0.50% silicon.
