Price notice: Extending US Ti consultation (update)

Fastmarkets is extending the consultation period for its proposal to discontinue its quarterly titanium price assessments due to a lack of market usage.

The following prices have been proposed for discontinuation:

Assessment: Titanium ingot
Quality: 6Al-4V (aluminium 6%, vanadium 4%, titanium remainder)
Location: fob shipping point
Unit: US dollars per lb
Publication: Quarterly

Assessment: Titanium plate, alloy
Quality: AMS 4911 ½ in x 48 in x 120 in
Location: fob shipping point
Unit: US dollars per lb
Publication: Quarterly

Assessment: Titanium bar, alloy
Quality: AMS 4928, 1-in diameter
Location: fob shipping point
Unit: US dollars per lb
Publication: Quarterly

Assessment: Titanium plate, commercially pure
Quality: ASTM-B265 Grade 2, ½ in x 96 in x 240 in
Location: fob shipping point
Unit: US dollars per lb
Publication: Quarterly

Assessment: Titanium sheet, commercially pure

The extended 30-day consultation period will end on February 10; an update to this notice will be published on that day. This follows two 90-day extensions to the consultation period in July 2019 and October 2019. The initial consultation began on April 9, 2019.
