Robert's practice involves all aspects of international trade and trade remedy proceedings. He has particular expertise in both US antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings and export control matters before the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US International Trade Commission (USITC), the US Trade Representative (USTR), the U.S. Court of International Trade, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Robert represents domestic clients from industries such as aluminum, petrochemicals, steel, semiconductors, renewable energy, and consumer goods, involving products from diverse economies such as China, Brazil, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, and Turkey. In the aluminum industry, Robert represents a coalition of US aluminum extruders in a trade remedies investigation covering aluminum extrusions that are sold into all segments of the US economy from automobiles and appliances to windows and doors. Robert received his JD with Honors from American University Washing College of Law, and obtained his BA from the University of Georgia, where he was a Presidential Scholar
