Novelis inks multiyear can sheet pact with AB InBev

Novelis Inc. has signed a multiyear agreement to supply aluminum can sheet for the North American operations of Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) at "volumes similar to the current contract" that expires at the end of December, the company said.
Negotiations earlier in 2009 to extend that contract had been unsuccessful.
The renewal is a sales arrangement only and doesn't revive the expiring arrangement by which AB InBev also supplied scrap to Novelis, a spokesman at the Atlanta-based can sheet supplier told AMM. ....
