Shutdown of Toyota plant to mark end for Calif. recycler

The planned shutdown of Toyota's New United Motor Manufacturing Inc. (NUMMI) automaking facility in Fremont, Calif., also spells the end of a nearby company that has been recycling parts for the Japanese automaker.
Toyota Tsusho America Inc. plans to halt operations on March 31, the day before NUMMI expects to stop auto production in Fremont. Some 104 Toyota Tsusho workers will lose their jobs because of the shutdown, according to a formal filing with state labor officials.....
