Tenaris unions sign global unity accord, issue warning

Tenaris SA, Luxembourg, received a sharp warning from its global unions, which recently came together to sign a new unity accord to work cooperatively and strategically as partners.

"Tenaris must not export the crisis to its workers in the form of layoffs and attempts to reduce salary levels," 35 union leaders, along with representatives from the International Metalworkers Federation, said in a letter to Paolo Rocca, chairman of the global manufacturer of seamless and welded steel products.....
