Indonesia ‘unlikely’ to lower tin quota to 60,000 tonnes

The Indonesian government is unlikely to accept a proposal from Bangka-Belitung province, its tin-producing base, to lower the 2009 tin output quota to between 60,000 and 75,000 tonnes, according to officials and market sources.
The government hasn't yet decided on the quota, and the last proposal set it at 90,000 tonnes, more than 11 percent below the 102,000 tonnes produced in 2007. ....
