FBI targets infrastructure impact of copper thefts

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, assessing copper as plunder for criminals, pointed to home foreclosures as targets of theft rings.
The report, written in September and entitled "Copper Theft Threatens U.S. Infrastructure," resulted from a survey of nearly 150 people during a span ended in May. The author, an FBI intelligence analyst, spoke with local and state law enforcement and railroad and energy companies.....
