Glencore acquires 2.4M Century shares; 9-month earnings up 16%

Glencore International AG, Zug, Switzerland, has paid $125.2 million to acquire nearly 2.4 million shares in Century Aluminum Co., according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
While the purchase boosted Glencore's holding to a little more than 11.7 million shares from around 9.3 million shares, the company's ownership stake remains steady at 28.6 percent, the filing shows.....
