UAW ratifies contract with ITE, ending strike

United Auto Worker members at 11 union locals in Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas have ratified a new three-year labor agreement with International Truck & Engine Corp.
The UAW said in a statement that 71 percent of workers voted in favor of the new contract in balloting conducted Sunday. The agreement settles a strike that began at ITE facilities Oct. 23.....
