Waxman hooks fine, ban in PSC case settlement

Robert Waxman, a key figure in a copper trading scandal at Philip Services Corp. (PSC) almost 10 years ago, has been banned from serving as an officer or director of a public company in Canada for 20 years and from trading in securities for 10 years.
In a settlement approved Friday by the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC), Waxman also agreed to pay Canadian $125,000 ($127,444) for the commission's costs to investigate the allegations of securities fraud by him and several other officers of the company.....
