Global Alumina extends joint venture negotiations [UPDATE]

Global Alumina Corp., Saint John, New Brunswick, extended to Dec. 31 from Nov. 30 the deadline for negotiating terms of the joint venture which would develop and operate the company's alumina refinery project in the Republic of Guinea.

Global is currently negotiating with BHP Billiton, Dubai Aluminum Co. Ltd. (Dubal) and Mubadala Development Co. PJSC over details about the planned refinery to be located in Boke, Guinea, along the western coast of Africa. The participants will acquire shares in Guinea Alumina Corp. Ltd. (GAC), Global Alumina's indirect, wholly owned subsidiary....
