Mechanical tube maker Sharon Tube Co. might be close to signing a deal to be acquired by a private equity firm, a source with knowledge of the situation said.
The closely held Sharon, Pa.,-based company has been negotiating a sale with Carlyle Group, Washington, the source said. The two sides are close to coming to terms and are awaiting regulatory approval, he added.....
