Western Australian nickel miner Jubilee Mines NL said Monday it is on target to exceed last year's output of 11,000 tonnes of nickel concentrate.

It has produced 5 percent more nickel concentrate in the first nine months of this year than it did in the same period a year earlier.

Jubilee, which supplies nickel concentrate to Toronto-based Inco Ltd., said it had a strong quarter financially, with cash and receivables totaling $73.4 million, $62.6 million of which came on sales to Inco.

Despite the expected boost in production, the West Perth-based company said its year-end bottom line would not increase significantly from last year if nickel's price doesn't rise on the London Metal Exchange.....
