A bit less aluminum, no titanium in first-qtr. offerings from Spirit

Projected quantities of aluminum scrap to be generated in the first three months of 2006 by Spirit AeroSystems Inc., a former Boeing Co. division, are off slightly from the current quarter.

The top item on the bid solicitation, briquetted mixed borings, is expected to total 1.2 million pounds, down from 1.3 million pounds offered when fourth-quarter quantities were auctioned in September. Bids are due Dec. 12 and awards will be made Dec. 14.....
