Antimony prices decline $100/T as auto sector slump hits usage

The price of antimony in the United States has come under downward pressure following a weakening in consumer demand and an increase in concentrate availability.

Antimony has fallen $100 to a new range of $3,700 to $3,800 per tonne, merchants said.

Higher prices for the metal had deterred some consumers from dipping into the spot market, and most are reluctant to build inventory as the end of the year approaches, sources said.....
