GM integrating operations to boost efficiency

General Motors Corp., Detroit, said it would fully integrate its metal fabricating division with its vehicle manufacturing operations by January as part of an effort to increase efficiency.
Spokesmen said the restructuring wouldn't result in immediate job cuts but that it eventually would trim salaried, administrative and other non-plant-floor employment.....
