China, Chile to negotiate free-trade agreement

China and Chile will start negotiations to develop a free-trade agreement as the Asian giant attempts to gain more access to raw materials and invest in mining projects and companies overseas.Chinese president Hu Jintao signed an agreement with his Chilean counterpart, Ricardo Lagos, to begin talks during the recent Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Santiago.
