Maine recyclers face 3-day tag-and-hold rule

PITTSBURGH Maine recyclers are facing increased regulation, including a tag-and-hold stipulation, if planned legislation is approved by the state government.
Democratic state Rep. Thomas R.W. Longstaff confirmed that he is working on legislation that would govern the sale of scrap metal and copper.
"I have had several conversations with law enforcement agencies, businesses and individuals who have experienced the theft of copper, and owners of scrap metal businesses," Longstaff told AMM.....
