Bismuth prices down 20% in Q4 on Chinese oversupply

Bismuth prices fell further on Wednesday December 14, extending losses seen throughout the fourth quarter as oversupply in China continued to weigh on the market.
Metal Bulletin bismuth prices were $10-11 per lb on Wednesday, down from $10.20-11.10 per lb on Friday and 20.6% lower than prices at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
Sellers have become increasingly aggressive in recent weeks as they tried to destock before the new year, but there is still a large surplus of material available in the Chinese market, a....
