Whirlpool's North American Q1 operating profit hits $151m

Home appliances manufacturer Whirlpool reported first-quarter operating profit for its North American region of $151 million in a results statement published on Thursday April 26.
This compared with operating profit of $59 million in the first quarter of 2011.
