NEW YORK Patriot Coal Corp. has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
The voluntary filing, entered Monday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, cites an estimated 10,001 to 25,000 creditors, as well as estimated assets and liabilities of more than $1 billion, court documents show.....
