Largely unscathed by Isaac, Gulf Coast ports reopening

NEW YORK — Gulf Coast ports handling major steel shipments were largely unscathed by Isaac with all operations returning to partial operations by Friday.

The U.S. Coast Guard reopened the Mississippi River Friday morning with minor restrictions, with the Port of New Orleans reopening its facilities Friday. The port reported no flooding and minimal wind damage to its terminals and other properties.....
