CME announces first coil options trades

NEW YORK — CME Group Inc.’s new hot-rolled coil steel options contract recorded its first trades this past week, with transactions representing 20,000 tons cleared through CME’s in-house platform, the exchange said Friday.

"Continued uncertainty about global growth and price volatility in the industry has resulted in interest in our steel futures and options products," Harriet Hunnable, CME’s managing director of metals products, said in a statement.....
