NC scrapyard owner eyeing ATM to combat metals theft

PITTSBURGH — A North Carolina metals recycler plans to tackle metals theft using an ATM, a common piece of technology used in scrapyards to pay customers.

"Our intent is to use today’s technology to support law enforcement," Raleigh Metal Recycling chief executive officer Greg Brown told AMM.
