China’s nickel, stainless steel prices spike after LME jump

SHANGHAI, China — China’s spot nickel and stainless steel prices spiked Monday, tracking a rebound in London Metal Exchange nickel prices on Friday.

Jichang-based Jinchuan Group Co. Ltd., China’s largest nickel producer, raised nickel prices again Monday after hiking tags three times last week. Its benchmark price was fixed at 124,000 yuan ($19,595) per tonne, up 2,000 yuan ($316) from 122,000 yuan per tonne Friday. ....
