US exporters resist fall in prices to Turkey

NEW YORK — Two large U.S. exporters that were expected to fight any further deterioration in ferrous scrap export prices to Turkey appear to have succeeded, sources told AMM.

The exporters each logged one bulk sale to a different consumer at prices that reportedly were $1 to $2 below the previous week’s levels. They refused to follow a prior-day sale down $5 per tonne, market participants said.....
