Patriot sees venue ruling in Ch. 11 case by end of Nov.

NEW YORK Patriot Coal Corp. can expect to learn by the end of November whether its Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection hearing will be allowed to remain in New York.
The company expects a definitive ruling within the next seven weeks, according to an Oct. 3 letter to employees from chairman and chief executive officer Irl Engelhardt.
The bankruptcy court heard arguments Sept. 11-12 about keeping the case in the New Yorks southern district court. Patriot wants the case to stay in New York, as it believes it would be the most cost-effective and convenient location.....
