Silicon spot market stalls before 2013 talks

NEW YORK Spot silicon activity has ground to halt over the past few weeks amid some 2013 contract discussions.
"Silicon markets have been very, very quiet the past two or three weeks," one consumer told AMM.
"There (have) been a number of customers in the market for 2013 business, but there havent been any significant purchases yet," a supplier agreed.
Producers and consumers are mostly sitting on the sidelines regarding next years business, market participants said.
"No ones in any rush. No one is worried theyre not going to get material (for next year)," the first supplier said.....
