NEW YORK — U.S. bulk export tags to Turkey gained momentum this week after East Coast exporters concluded new sales at slightly higher price levels.

Two exporters this week sold three cargoes to different mills in Turkey at $384.50 to $385.50 per tonne for an 80/20 mix of No. 1 and No. 2 heavy melt, market participants said.

They follow sales of two bulk cargoes by a U.S. exporter at $383 and $384 per tonne c.i.f. Turkey for HMS 1&2 (80:20) nearly a week earlier (amm.com, Dec. 10).....
