Chile’s copper production rises 8.1 percent in June

SÃO PAULO Chilean copper output totaled 483,500 tonnes in June, up 8.1 percent from the same month last year, according to data from Chilean copper commission Cochilco.
Growth was mainly driven by BHP Billiton Ltd.s Escondida Mine, where output rose 3.5 percent to 110,100 tonnes, as well as Anglo American Sur SA, Collahuasi and Los Pelambres.....
