Chrysler to build more engines in Mexico

CHICAGO — Chrysler Group LLC said it will invest $164 million in its Saltillo north engine plant in Mexico, adding a new production line to assemble Tigershark engines.

The engines will support production at the automaker’s nearby van assembly plant, which cost nearly $1.09 billion to build.

Sergio Marchionne, chairman and chief executive of the Auburn Hills, Mich.-based company, dedicated the assembly plant Oct. 10, although production of the Ram ProMaster commercial truck began in July.....
