Japanese scrap prices still following fall in export mart

TOKYO — Japan’s domestic scrap prices have followed the decline in export prices, reinforcing the feeling that recent increases have become unsustainable.

The national average price for H2-grade scrap (a mix of No. 1 and No. 2 heavy melt) last week stood at ¥32,596 ($330.50) per tonne, down ¥111 ($1.12) per tonne from the previous week, according to the Japan Ferrous Raw Materials Association.....
