Shandong province targets six large steel groups by 2015

SHANGHAI Chinas Shandong province will accelerate its consolidation drive over the next two years and aims to form six large-scale steel groups, the provincial government said late last week.
The largest steel mill in the area will be Shandong Iron & Steel Group Co. Ltd., formed via a merger between Jinan Iron & Steel Group Corp. and Laiwu Steel Group Ltd. in 2011.....
