Aluminum shipments increase in November

CHICAGO U.S. service center shipments trended upward in November vs. the same month last year, marking the third month in a row of year-over-year gains.
The market heading into 2014 is probably stronger than it was at the end of 2012, according to market sources, although some sources said the current outlook, while far from pessimistic, is far less bullish than expectations were going into 2013.
"There is business to be done and some good opportunities out there. Its just not the constant order flow that we would hope for," one source said. "But whatever our problems or headaches are now, its not as bad or desperate as it was last year."....
