Northeastern Aluminum, top exec deny evading duties

CHICAGO Northeastern Aluminum Corp. and its president, William Ma, are seeking dismissal of federal accusations that they were part of a duty-evasion scheme.
Northeastern Aluminum and Ma have denied that they facilitated imports that U.S. prosecutors allege were transshipped through Malaysia to avoid duties on aluminum extrusions from China or otherwise participated in an alleged duty-evasion scheme, according to documents filed Jan. 28 in U.S. District Court in Florida.
