Ball eyes extruded aluminum growth

NEW YORK — Ball Corp. plans to continue expanding its extruded aluminum business "both organically and inorganically, via acquisition," according to its top executive.

Volumes at Ball’s facility in San Luis Potosi, Mexico (amm.com, Dec. 14, 2012), which was acquired in late 2012 and makes extruded aluminum for household products for customers in North and South America, "are still growing double digits, kind of low to mid-teens," chairman, president and chief executive officer John A. Hayes said Jan. 30 during the company’s fourth quarter earnings....
