HSS prices soften, but demand said robust

NEW YORK Structural tubing prices east of the Rockies have begun to soften as domestic flat-rolled tags have started trending down over the past month.
AMMs assessment for hollow structural sections (HSS) fell to $950 per ton from $970 per ton last month.
Despite lower prices, most sources did not necessarily see a drop-off in demand. "Im not seeing any softening of demand. The demand from where I sit is strong," one Midwest mill source said.....
