ArcelorMittal bullish on US steel demand

NEW YORK ArcelorMittal SA sees the United States as one of its more promising markets, citing encouraging economic indicators for jobs and manufacturing, as Europe recovers more slowly and China faces an economic slowdown.
"Growth in demand for steel has been particularly encouraging in Europe and in the United States after several years of contraction," ArcelorMittal chairman and chief executive officer Lakshmi N. Mittal said in the companys first-half financial report.....
