Global Brass & Copper logs $9M profit

NEW YORK Global Brass & Copper Holdings Inc. posted net income of $9 million in the second quarter in contrast to a $17.1-million net loss in the same period last year despite a drop in sales volumes across all three of its segments.
Shipments by Olin Brass fell 2.2 percent to 72.2 million pounds, Chase Brass shipments fell 2.2 percent to 56.8 million pounds and AJ Osters shipments declined 2.9 percent to 16.6 million pounds.....
