LOS ANGELES RTI International Metals Inc. has named a veteran of the aircraft engine industry as its top commercial officer, further emphasizing its focus on downstream markets.
The Pittsburgh-based titanium producer, fabricator and distributor has appointed Patricia A. OConnell to the new position of executive vice president, commercial, effective Jan. 14.
OConnell most recently served as president of customer business for the defense, civil helicopter and small turbo props businesses of British engine builder Rolls-Royce Plcs North American unit. She previously was executive vice president at the GE Aviation and president of the GE Civil Aviation Systems units of General Electric Co., and held various positions at Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based Rockwell Collins Inc.
