Brazils exports of nonferrous products were mixed in
Alumina, the largest export
category, saw volumes rise 2 percent last year, although export
revenue dropped 12.5 percent from 2011 levels, according to
Brazilian Trade Ministry data.
Bauxite also saw mixed results,
with volumes inching 0.3 percent lower while revenue rose 1.9
On a percentage basis, copper scrap exports notched the
biggest gains, with volumes rising 72 percent and revenue
increasing 83.3 percent. Meanwhile, copper cathode exports
scored the biggest declines, falling 71.6 percent and 75.1
percent, respectively, in the same comparison.
