PITTSBURGH European Metal Recycling Ltd. (EMR) has purchased a New Jersey auto recycling operation, capturing another dedicated source of material for its shredding operations.
The Warrington, England-based company purchased Harbor Auto Recyclers in Egg Harbor Township at the end of December for an undisclosed sum. The company has retained its name, according to a source.
Local real estate tax records indicate that EMRs Eastern Metals Recycling Terminal in Bellmawr, N.J., is the owner, and that the property was purchased from Robert Cilento.
Neither EMR nor Cilento could be reached for comment.
