NEW YORK JMC Steel Group Inc. has tapped three executives to lead newly formed business units that are organized along product lines.
"The business unit structure will enable faster, more entrepreneurial decision-making, ensure greater ownership and accountability for financial results, and eliminate organizational layers to move closer to our customers and deliver a better service model," the Chicago-based company said.
In the reshuffle, Mark Magno has been named president of the standard pipe business of JMC subsidiary Wheatland Tube Co., while Jim Hays has been made president of Wheatlands electrical, fence, and mechanical tube and fittings business, the company said.
Tom Muth has been appointed president of the hollow structural sections (HSS) and piling business of JMC subsidiary Atlas Tube Inc.
Magno was previously Sharon, Pa.-based Wheatlands vice president of sales for standard pipe, sprinkler and fence, while Hays was vice president of marketing and business development for JMC.
Muth was previously vice president of sales and marketing for Chicago-based Atlas Tube.
The reorganization comes after Barry Zekelman recently returned as JMCs chief executive officer and chief operating officer (amm.com, Feb. 8).
JMC has also relaunched the Sharon Tube brand in a new division, which will be led by industry veteran William Perrine (amm.com, March 5).
